The 1996 Census data, although not completely accurate, provides an indication of the total size of the Insulator population at 6,235, including union and non-union Insulators. The average age of Insulators, based on the survey data from this study, is 42.5 years. The average age varies across the regions of Canada, from 42 to 45 years of age. |
